HOW DO I REPROGRAM MY INTELOCK?
NOTE: There are two versions of InteLock:
- Generation I has a Push Button AND a Slide Switch for activating the Alternate Code.
- Generation II has only a Push Button for all programming.
Be sure that you follow the directions that apply to your InteLock.
GENERATION I ONLY
First, lock the knob and place the Slide Switch in the down position.
Then, remove one of the four AAA batteries and then turn and hold the knob for at least 2 seconds. Re-install the battery. The Lock will beep 16 times. Now wait 2 minutes before proceeding (do not touch the button or turn the knob!!!).
Now press the Code Button. This will set the codes to "0". (Note: you must set both codes before the lock can be used).
You can choose any 2, 3 or 4 digit code. We recommend 3 or 4 digit codes for better security. Examples include: 2-5-4; 8-7-0; 2-3-5-7; 0-6-7-9, etc.
There are two steps in the programming process:
| A. Setting the Primary Code: |
Turn the Knob, then release when the display shows "0". With the display flashing "0", press and hold the Code Button until a "P" is displayed. |
When ready, release the Button and promptly turn the Knob to enter the new Primary Code (do not let the display turn off when entering the code). |
Now test the Primary Code. You should get a flashing "0" which means the Primary Code is correct and that the Alternate Code must still be entered. |
| B. Setting the Alternate Code: |
Place the Code Select Switch in the up position and re-enter the Primary Code. When the flashing "0" appears, press and hold the Code Button until a "P" is displayed. |
When ready, release the Button and promptly turn the Knob to enter the new Alternate Code (do not let the display turn off). With the Switch up, both codes will work. With the Switch down, only the Primary Code will work. |
GENERATION II ONLY
First, remove one of the four AAA batteries and then press and hold the Code Reset Button for at least 5 seconds. Re-install the battery. The Lock will beep and the Primary Code will now be reset to 3-1-3 and the Alternate Code to 2-0-2.
You can choose any 2, 3 or 4 digit code for your own use (please do not leave these factory codes as your own codes). We recommend 3 or 4 digit codes for better security. Examples include: 2-5-4; 8-8-0; 2-2-5-7; 0-6-7-9, etc.
There are three steps in the reprogramming process:
| A. Setting the Primary Code: |
Press and release the Code Button (the lock will beep and the display bar will
flash "- - "). |
While the bar is flashing, enter the Primary Code (3-1-3 if you just reset the lock). |
The lock will playback the current Primary Code followed by a flashing "P". |
Now enter a new Primary Code and release the knob. |
The display will now replay the new Primary Code and begin flashing "P" again. |
If you are satisfied with the code, press the Code Button to accept. If not, then enter another new code and press the Code Button after the playback to accept. |
| B. Setting the Alternate Code: |
Once the Primary Code is accepted, the display will replay the Alternate Code (2-0-2 if you just reset the lock) and then flash an "A". |
Now enter a new Alternate Code and wait for the replay followed by the flashing "A". |
When you are satisfied with the code, press the Code Button to accept. |
| C. Setting the Display Speed: |
Once the Alternate code is accepted, the display will begin flashing the Display Speed ("3" if you just reset the lock). |
To increase the display speed increase the number, and to decrease the display speed decrease the number (9 is fastest, 1 is slowest). |
Once the speed is set, press the Code Button to end the programming.
